FAQs
How do I cancel an appointment?
To change or cancel appointments, please use the 'Manage my appointment' option in your confirmation email from Fresha. We ask that you do not call or text to change or cancel appointments, as this may delay the process and prevent us from offering the slot to other clients.
What if I need to cancel/reschedule my appointment?
We understand that life can be unpredictable. To ensure fair and timely treatment for everyone, please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to change, reschedule, or cancel your appointment. Failure to give this notice will result in a charge of 50% of the treatment price. If you do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged 100% of the treatment price. Please be aware that if you do not adhere to this policy, your card on record will be automatically charged. Thank you for your understanding.
How do I prepare for an appointment?
Please complete the forms sent via email prior to your appointment.
For your appointment, we recommend eating and drinking water in the 2 hours beforehand.
For the initial sports massage, wear or come along with comfortable clothing such as shorts and a vest as this appointment includes a postural analysis. For acupuncture, a loose, comfortable outfit is ideal. For the Indian Head massage, wear a vest that allows easy access to your shoulders and neck—straps can be moved down to your arms, and it’s helpful to bring a hairband or clip if your hair is longer than your shoulders.
As a reminder, if you experience any COVID-19 symptoms in the 7 days leading up to your appointment, please rearrange it to ensure the safety of everyone.
How often do I need a sports massage?
The frequency of sports massage depends on your individual needs, including mobility, range of motion, and recovery goals. If you’re experiencing limited movement or discomfort, weekly sessions may be necessary, especially if symptoms worsen after a week. As you progress and incorporate home rehabilitation, sessions can move to every 2-3 weeks or even monthly for ongoing maintenance.
How often do I need an Indian Head massage?
The frequency of Indian Head massage depends on your stress levels, workload, and need for self-care. If you’re experiencing high stress, increased physical activity, or mental fatigue, weekly sessions can help alleviate tension, improve circulation, and promote mental clarity. For ongoing relaxation and stress relief, monthly treatments may be sufficient.
How often do I need acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a process that requires consistency to achieve noticeable results, as its benefits build over time. While some clients may feel subtle changes after the first session, it often takes multiple treatments to experience more significant improvements for your health concerns. The effects of the initial sessions typically last around three days, so we recommend weekly sessions for four weeks to allow your body to respond more effectively and begin to build lasting benefits. After this initial phase, treatments can be moved to every two or three weeks, monthly, or longer intervals for ongoing support and maintenance of your wellbeing.
Who can benefit from your services?
Our services are designed for women of all ages and lifestyles. Sports massage helps improve posture, increase range of motion, and relieve tension, whether you’re active or managing physical strain from daily life. Indian Head massage is effective for relieving headaches, neck and shoulder tension, stress, and promoting relaxation. Acupuncture supports overall wellbeing by managing stress, improving sleep, and alleviating discomfort from conditions like anxiety, PMS, and menopause, helping you feel balanced and revitalised.
Do I need to be referred by a doctor?
No, a referral is not required to book an appointment. However, if you’re managing a medical condition, we recommend sharing any relevant information during your consultation so we can tailor our services to your needs. If you’re in severe pain or feeling extremely unwell, we advise consulting a doctor first before booking an appointment with us.
Is the clinic suitable for pregnant women?
Yes, acupuncture and Indian Head massage are suitable for pregnant women. Acupuncture is proven to be safe during pregnancy, including the first trimester, and can help with pregnancy-related discomfort and stress. Indian Head massage is also safe, as it’s performed while seated and focuses on the head, neck, and shoulders. However, we do not offer sports massage for pregnant clients. All treatments are tailored to ensure your comfort and safety, so please let us know if you’re pregnant prior to your consultation.
Can I combine different services in one appointment?
Yes, you can combine services for a more tailored experience. Add an Indian Head massage to your sports massage for ultimate relaxation, or include kinesiology taping after a sports massage for ongoing muscle and joint support. You can also combine acupuncture with Indian Head massage as part of our Harmony Therapies for enhanced relaxation and wellbeing. These combinations help maximise your results and provide a comprehensive treatment.
Are your services covered by private medical insurance?
Our services are self-funded, but many clients are able to claim back costs directly from their insurance company, depending on their provider and policy. We are proud to hold endorsed and accredited qualifications, ensuring that you receive high-quality, professional care. We can provide invoices for your treatments to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please check with your insurer to confirm coverage for the services you require.
